Easy Scanning Fix

Posted in: Computer Tips & Tricks

If you use a scanner at your home or office, perhaps you’ve run into the following problem. You place your paper (or book or magazine, etc.) down onto your scanner bed, run a scan, then view the results on your monitor only to discover that there’s a bunch of noticeable “bleed through” — meaning there are visible images and/or text from the back side of the page you scanned. Rats.

Instead of spending time in Photoshop trying to correct the issue by manually reducing the amount of visible bleed through, simply rescan your page — but this time try putting a piece of dark construction paper behind it. Problem solved.
