Undo Accidental Tab Closings

Posted in: Web Info, Tips & Tricks

It’s my guess that at some point in your web travels using Firefox (because you ARE using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, right?) you’ve accidentally closed a tab and wished you knew of a way to quickly pull that page back up.

As someone who regularly has upwards of 10 or 20 Firefox tabs open at any one time, I find myself closing tabs I wish I hadn’t a least once or twice a week. Yet after I learned the how to quickly “undo” this goof, I never stressed over accidentally closing browser tabs again.

Let’s try it out, shall we? Alright. First, open Firefox. Next, open a second tab and go to any site you’d like (just so long as the second tab isn’t empty). Now, close that second tab. Did you close it? Good - now go ahead and choose History from the top of your screen, then choose Recently Closed Tabs, then choose the tab you just closed. Boom - just like that, it’s back from the ether. Awesome.
