This week I was introduced to the wonderful www.gethuman.com. The gethuman project is “a consumer movement to improve the quality of phone support in the U.S.”

Gethuman.com site provides information that allows you to talk to real people, really quick, whether you’re booking a reservation with United Airlines, trying to resolve an issue with your Capital One credit card, or hoping to speak with an agent at Comcast because your internet connection is down.

The site offers contact secrets you can try with any company, a database of “secret phone numbers and codes,” company ratings and online community discussions. It’s updated regularly; the project works hard to ensure that information doesn’t become stale or outdated.
